Elevation Recruitment Group is looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a heavy manufacturing business in Rochdale on a 6-month fixed term contract. This is a hands-on, project-based role focused on improving machinery safety and ensuring compliance with HSE guidance.
This is a unique opportunity to lead a critical safety improvement programme across a site with older, legacy machinery. The successful candidate will:
* Conduct comprehensive PUWER assessments across all production machinery.
* Update and implement Safe Systems of Work.
* Identify and implement machine guarding improvements.
* Work closely with engineering and production teams to deliver practical safety solutions.
* Ensure full compliance with HSE guidance and regulatory requirements.
I'm keen to speak to HSE Manager's with the following experience:
* Proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager in a heavy manufacturing environment.
* Hands-on experience completing PUWER assessments and implementing machine guarding solutions.
* Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and HSE guidance.
* Practical, solutions-focused approach with the ability to influence operational teams.
* NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum).
