Main duties of the job
The Healthcare Governance Lead is the identified lead for coordinating and completing local healthcare governance activity, ensuring comprehensive cover and integration of the various governance functions e.g. Quality monitoring, incidents, complaints and risks.
The post holder will provide senior leadership and strategic oversight of governance across the Acute & Emergency Medicine Care Group. Acting as a key interface between corporate governance, operational leads, and clinical teams, the role will ensure robust governance systems are in place and continuously improved in line with national standards and Trust priorities.
The post holder will be accountable for leading the implementation, assurance, and coordination of governance workstreams across the Care Group, as outlined in the STHFT Healthcare Arrangements Policy.

11. Registered Healthcare Professional e.g. NMC,
12. 1st level degree or evidence of equivalent study
13. Master’s degree, or equivalent experience or working towards
14. Patient, occupational safety or risk management qualification.
15. To have completed the national PEAP programme for practice supervisors or equivalent teaching and assessing qualification for those with ENB998.
16. Evidence of relevant professional development

19. Significant experience working within an acute hospital
