This fantastic Newham-based primary school in Poplar is seeking Teaching Assistants who are enthusiastic, patient, and committed to making a positive difference. You will play a key role in supporting pupils across the classroom by reinforcing learning, encouraging participation, and helping pupils remain focused and engaged.
You will work closely with the class teacher and wider support staff to ensure every child receives consistent guidance, structure, and encouragement throughout the school day. Responsibilities may include supporting small groups, assisting with whole-class activities, or providing additional one-to-one support for pupils who need extra help. Every day will be different, and no two children are the same.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
Experience supporting pupils within a primary school setting (or similar)
Confidence working with a range of abilities and learning needs
A calm, positive, and consistent approach to routines and expectations
The ability to encourage pupils, build trust, and develop strong relationships
A proactive mindset with a willingness to use initiative
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
