We are seeking a highly motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic Professional Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic team across two of our Professional Services departments. This is an exciting opportunity to provide a comprehensive administration support service through managing diaries, organising meetings and events, and handling enquiries, all while ensuring smooth administrative operations.


About The Team

This fast-paced and varied role offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-level administrative support to the Pro Vice-Chancellor Careers, Commercial and Academic Partnerships and the Chief Financial Officer. The postholder will report directly to the Pro Vice Chancellor Careers, Commercial and Academic. You will be supporting a dynamic and collaborative group of senior leaders at the heart of our organisation.

Careers, Commercial and Academic Partnerships connects industry with academic expertise to help transform the local community through exchange, higher and degree apprenticeship and the provision of CPD and short courses. Finance and Planning is responsible for overseeing a wide range of finance, planning and procurement activities at the University of Suffolk. While their areas of focus differ, they share a commitment to excellence, forward-thinking leadership, and making a meaningful impact.

Your role will be essential in ensuring their time is used effectively, priorities are managed seamlessly, and operations run smoothly — helping to drive key outcomes across the organisation.


About You

You will have excellent organisational, communication, problem-solving and IT skills, as well as experience of diary management, organising events, clerking meetings (including the creation of agendas and collation and distribution of papers) and handling enquiries. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, highly motivated and passionate about making a difference in Higher Education administration and enjoys the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment.
