Role & Responsibilities
* To ensure a detailed hand-over is carried out between the Late Duty Manager, Late Receptionist and yourself.
* To do a full walk round of all areas.
* To deal with all late arrivals.
* To complete Late Manager's lock-up procedure, read Restaurant and Bar tills and ensure full close-down supervision of all areas.
* Preparation of all guests bills and print-of all bills for prompt check-out.
* Ensure all banking duties are carried out and the relevant paperwork is completed.
* Ensure all up-to-date reports are ready for collection from relevant departments.
* Hand-over to Early Receptionist and Early Duty Manager.
* Float check to be completed on hand-over to early Receptionist.
* Collate and pass on information to other departments as necessary.
* Report maintenance problems in the relevant manner.
* Supervise Night Porters' duties and workload.
* Ensure all function rooms are ready for each day's business.
* Ensure all relevant information is passed on from Night Porters to Early Day Porter.
* Deal efficiently and promptly with guest requests and queries.
* To cover the Night Managers days off and any holidays.
* Ensure security and safe-keeping of the reception area, i.e. floats, keys etc.
* To liaise with the Night Manager for the purpose of hand-over and to discuss further development within the department.
* To act in accordance with the Fire Regulations.
* To observe all Security, Hygiene, Weights & Measures, Health & Safety Regulations.
* To maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance at all times.
* To attend training courses and meetings as requested.
* To undertake any other duty which you may reasonably be requested to do.
