Payroll Manager
Permanent
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000pa plus a discretionary 20% bonus (target based)
Location: Middleton
A fast-growing organisation are seeking a permanent Payroll Manager to join their team, paying a salary od £35,000pa - £40,000pa. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing for the business, you will be managing a small team, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and efficiency at all times.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the end to end payroll for approximately 1500 employees
* Manual calculations relating to bonuses, overtime, tax, NI and other compensations
* Prepare and submit payroll tax returns (p60’s and p11ds), ensuring these are submitted in a timely and accurate manner
* Dealing with payroll related queries
* Recruit, mentor and train payroll staff
* Distribute workload accordingly throughout the time, ensuring the team have the required tools and support to carry out their roles to the best of their ability
* Administration and maintenance of records relating to benefits schemes within the business
* Producing the annual gender pay gap report
* Providing support to the HR team
* Any other duties as required relating to the payroll function
The ideal candidate will have the following skills & experience
* Extensive payroll experience
* Ideally CIPP qualified or working towards
* Experience working on payroll software
* A deep understanding of payroll legislation
* Strong mathematical skills
* Organised and excellent attention to detail
* Excellent excel knowledge, including pivot tables and V lookups
* The ability to lead, manage and motivate a team
