4 on 4 off, 12-hour day shifts from 0600 to 1800, totaling 42 hours per week.
Salary: £21.61 per hour + 2% shift allowance.
A quick look at the role
Supervise maintenance team members and support the Maintenance Manager. Ensure fault finding and repairs are prioritized and responded to within acceptable timeframes. Assist the team in maintaining production and ancillary equipment, keeping them in optimal condition. Conduct routine maintenance inspections as directed, report defects, and ensure timely repairs. Support and collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve maintenance services. Oversee spare parts maintenance, ensuring OEM-recommended critical spares and service parts are available and correctly stored in the MRO stores.
Your core responsibilities
* Conduct fault finding on process, ancillary, and support equipment, and perform necessary repairs to resolve breakdowns.
* Maintain plant equipment daily to ensure maximum efficiency and meet business KPIs.
* Assist engineering with process modifications, performance improvements, decommissioning redundant equipment, and installing new equipment.
* Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety legislation and maintain safe working practices.
* Support planning and organization of annual and routine shutdowns, ensuring availability of all necessary maintenance materials and spare parts.
Our essential requirements
* Maintenance Engineering qualification (Electrical or Mechanical)
* Previous supervisory experience in engineering maintenance
* Experience working in an engineering/maintenance team
* Ability to supervise a team
Desirable
* IOSH Managing Safely certification
* Experience in a recycling environment
* Knowledge of the recycling industry
