Our fabulous team are on the lookout for active and compassionate individuals with the ability to motivate and inspire to join them as Bank Support Practitioners.
You don’t need previous experience in care to join our team as a Bank Support Practitioner as we recruit based on values and transferable skills. Our award-winning Learning and Development team provide full training.
However, for these roles we do require candidates who have a full driving licence (for manual vehicles) and access to their own vehicles. You must be willing to take out business insurance as you will be compensated 45p per mile during your shift.
The Service:
Beeswing is a 24/7 supported living service about 7 miles from Dumfries. The service has capacity for 5 individuals all living in their own homes. Each individual has complex & varying needs including Intellectual & Physical Disabilities and Autism. The service has a staff base on site which is manned 24/7 including 2 sleepovers. Shifts vary from an 8 am start to a 10 pm finish. An average shift pattern includes 8-3:30 / 2:30-10. There can be split shifts or longer/shorter shifts where service needs apply. There is an element of behaviours of concern which are managed using a Positive Behaviour Support approach. Staff will require to complete service-specific training including CALM, Epilepsy & M&H.
To be an amazing Bank Support Practitioner, we’ll need you to:
1. Have an empathetic and caring nature.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. Confidence in using computers.
4. Be able to work well in a team environment and on your own.
5. Good organisational skills.
