Role Overview
Supporting children with autism and learning disabilities in a residential care setting. Responsibilities include:
* Providing personal care as required.
* Working under the guidance of senior staff to ensure safety and engagement of children.
* Dealing with challenging behaviour, including verbal abuse and threats.
* Being a positive role model and maintaining a responsible approach.
* Developing functional skills in young people to promote independence and social skills for adult life.
* liaising with parents, carers, and other professionals.
* Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
Applicant Criteria
Open to applicants from social care, healthcare, and education backgrounds. Experience in roles such as Support Worker, Care Assistant, Childcare Practitioner, or Teaching Assistant is welcomed. If unsure, apply and we will review your CV for suitability.
Working Pattern
Shifts include Early, Late, and Long Days on a rota basis, with some sleep-in shifts. Options may be available for those unable to commit to a full rota.
