Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently seeking an experienced and dependable HGV Class 2 Skip Driver to join a busy waste management and recycling operation in East Lothian.

🕒 Working Schedule
1. Monday to Friday
2. 6:15am start times
3. Minimum 40 hours per week
4. Overtime available
5. Temp-to-perm opportunity for successful candidates
🚛 Duties & Responsibilities
6. Operating a Class 2 skip vehicle throughout East Lothian and surrounding areas
7. Delivering, exchanging, and collecting skips from commercial and domestic customers
8. Completing daily vehicle inspections and defect reporting
9. Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures
10. Providing a professional and courteous service to customers
11. Maintaining high standards of health and safety at all times
💰 Pay Rates
PAYE
12. £14.53 per hour
13. £21.80 per hour after 8 hours
PAYE Advanced
14. £16.28 per hour
15. £24.42 per hour after 8 hours
✅ Guaranteed minimum 40-hour week

16. Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
17. Valid Driver CPC qualification
18. Digital Tachograph card
19. Previous skip, waste management, or similar Class 2 driving experience is advantageous
20. Good knowledge of safe working practices
21. Reliable, self-motivated, and professional attitude
