Technical Facilities Manager

Pareto FM isin search of a talented Technical Facilities Manager to take chargeof maintaining operating and enhancing our technical infrastructureand facilities. The perfect candidate will bring forth a solidfoundation in facilities management coupled with proficiency intechnical systems encompassing HVAC electrical plumbing andbuilding automation. We are looking for someone who is meticulousadept at problemsolving and adopts a proactive stance towardsfacilities management. Additionally this role may entail handsontasks occasionally necessitating direct involvement to addressissues effectively.
KeyResponsibilities:
Technical:
* Manageand Supervise the maintenance and operation of all technicalsystems within the facility including HVAC electrical plumbing fireprotection and security systems
* Develop and implementpreventive maintenance programs to ensure the ongoing reliabilityand efficiency of technicalsystems.
* Coordinate withcontractors and vendors for repairs upgrades and installations oftechnical equipment and systems ensuring value for money for theclient.
* Leadtroubleshooting efforts and swiftly resolve technical issues tominimise downtime anddisruptions.
* Conductregular inspections of facilities to identify and addressmaintenance issues safety hazards and code complianceconcerns.
* Monitor energyusage and implement strategies to optimize energy efficiency andreduce operationalcosts.
* Stay updated onindustry trends and best practices to continually improve facilityoperations.
* Maintainaccurate records of maintenance activities equipment inventory andservice contracts.
* Respondpromptly to emergency situations such as equipment failures poweroutages or environmental incidents and implement effectivesolutions to minimize downtime anddisruption.
* Develop andenforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe workingenvironment for staff andvisitors.
* Collaborate withclient departments such as IT workspace events and operations tosupport facilityrelated projects andinitiatives.
* Stay informedabout regulatory requirements related to facilties management andtechnical systems.
* Ensurethat all PPM tasks are completed on time in line withspecifications and any remedials accuratelyreported.
* Ensure that allReactive tasks are completed within KPI time frames and to a highstandard of repair.
* Ensureall statutory related paperwork is completed accurately and isfiledappropriately.
* Develop andProject Manage MinorWorks.
* Provide timelyconsistent andcommunication.
* Ensure theadoption of Pareto policies and procedures throughout the area ofresponsibility.
* Deliverall necessary Toolbox Talk Training as well as identifying othertraining requirements within directreports.
* Ensure theadoption of safe working practices during maintenance and repairactivities.
* Manage thesafe systems of work for area ofresponsibility.
* Interfacewith the Client Workspace Team in the course of reactive and PPMmaintenanceworks.
* Undertakesubcontractor management in line with theabove.
* Line Managemaintenance engineers in area ofresponsibility.
* Ensureresources are efficiently and effectivelyorganised.
* Ensuresatisfactory time keeping and conduct ofworkforce.
* Liaise with allstakeholders to ensure that the service meets and exceeds servicelevel agreements. Continually review service provision to identifyareas ofimprovement.
* Carry outsuch other duties as may be reasonably required from time to timeby TBC.
* Operate as part ofthe wider Pareto Management Team in supporting business andorganisationaldevelopment.
FacilitiesManagement
* Ownershipof engineering and helpdeskoperations.
* Deputising forthe Workspace managers during their annual leave which will requirespending time in their countries whilst they are away from thebusiness. This candidate will need to understand the operationsfully to be able to deputise in their absence and sort variousoperational challenges during their time away.
* Maintain a close workingrelationship with the other client partners including front ofhouse cleaning security and catering and all other ancillaryservices.
* Weeklyoperational briefings with the client representative to explain theoperational challenges and opportunities across the portfolio.These weekly meetings will be documented and the minutes sharedwith all key stakeholders.
* Completion of monthlymanagement reports that cover all services across both sites. Thiswill be delivered to the client within 10 days of the followingmonth and will include full PPM and H&S data. This willextend to quarterly strategic reviews that will be utilisedbysenior stakeholders to drive the strategy of the overallcontract.
* Support theclient to achieve their strategic goals from a facilitiesmanagement perspective including business continuity support ofessential services and effective risk management.
* Look at future long termplanning through effective assessmentmanagement.
* Implementationof standard operating procedures for all base functions of theservice delivery. This will include designing writing and deliverythese SOPs.
* Act as thesenior point of decision making for the team and the key point ofescalation to ensure the client is free to manage at a strategiclevel.
* Completion of allHR related tasks including appraisals salary reviews anddisciplinary procedures.
* Develop and to implementa full Learning and development programme to be rolled out acrossboth sites.
* Manage coresubcontractors effectively ensuring they are operating in line withtheir specifications and delivering value for money.
* Completing quarterlyaudit reviews with all core subcontractors including SLA scoring.
* Provide support for largescale projects across the portfolio.
Qualifications
Essential:
* Bachelorsdegree in engineering facilities management or a related field;additional certifications or training in facility management ortechnical systemspreferred.
* Proveexperience in facility management with specific expertise inmanaging technical systems andinfrastructure.
* Strongknowledge of building codes regulations and industry standardsrelated to facility management and technicalsystems.
