In this key role, you'll be responsible for managing the profitability of accounts and broker relationships, with direct influence over financial performance. You’ll play a pivotal part in strengthening underwriting excellence and driving collaboration across the team. What You’ll Be Doing * Take the lead in evolving how we partner with our broker portfolio through dynamic, flexible, and collaborative approaches. * Leverage a strong mix of technical and commercial skills to make informed decisions, backed by data and cutting-edge mobile technology. * Drive profitable growth in key markets by focusing on new business opportunities. * Help shape the branch’s trading and technical capabilities by fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. What You’ll Bring * A proactive mindset with a passion for learning and challenging conventional thinking. * Strong customer and market awareness, with the ability to apply insights to your daily work. * The ability to collaborate effectively, take accountability, and innovate in problem-solving. * Demonstrated technical expertise in Property & Casualty (P&C) Commercial underwriting. * In-depth knowledge of insurance processes and market dynamics within P&C Commercial lines. * Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. * Proven decision-making ability across a wide range of technical underwriting scenarios. * Coaching or mentoring experience within a team-based environment, with a track record of achieving results. * Commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and broker relationship management skills. * Strong analytical and numerical reasoning skills, with experience in account monitoring and risk assessment. * Progress toward Dip CII qualification (or equivalent experience) is desirable. * A forward-thinking attitude with the resilience to lead and support change initiatives.
