SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 & 2:1 Support)

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Blackpool. This role will involve providing both 1:1 and 2:1 support to pupils with special educational needs, helping them to access learning and reach their full potential.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a real difference in their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored 1:1 and 2:1 support for pupils with SEN
* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
* Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
* Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies
* Encourage independence and confidence in learning
* Support pupils with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, or learning difficulties
* Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements
* Previous SEN experience - essential
* Experience working with children in an educational or care setting
* Understanding of different SEN needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
