We are seeking compassionate Support Workers to support individuals with learning disabilities to live independently and lead fulfilling lives.
Position: Support Worker / Carer
Salary: £ per hour
Location: Bridgend, Mid Glamorgan
Hours: 16 to hours per week, rota basis
Contract: Permanent
Closing Date: Ongoing
About the Role
This is a rewarding, hands-on role supporting individuals with disabilities to live as independently as possible within their community.
You will work as part of a supportive team, delivering person-centred care and encouraging individuals to make their own choices, build confidence and participate fully in everyday life.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Providing practical support with daily living tasks such as budgeting, cooking, housework and attending appointments
2. Supporting with personal care and health needs, including medication and daily routines
3. Offering emotional support through empathy and active listening
4. Encouraging individuals to express their views and take part in decision making
5. Promoting independence and supporting individuals to achieve their personal goals
6. Maintaining accurate records including care notes and financial records
7. Administering and recording medication in line with policies
You will be required to work flexibly across a rota, including days, evenings, weekends, public holidays, sleep-ins and wakeful nights.

Essential skills and experience:
8. Experience supporting vulnerable individuals in a care, support or similar setting
9. A caring, patient and empathetic approach
10. Strong communication and teamwork skills
11. Ability to work flexibly across a rota
Desirable:
12. Full UK driving licence and access to your own car
