We have an opportunity available for Support Workers - Supported Living to join the team at The Academy based in Warrington WA1 2RU. Salary £12.60 hourly. Hours 37 and 30 contract available.
Overview
As a Support Worker in Supported Living you will be supporting adults on a person-centered basis to live independently, helping them move towards independent accommodation. From medication assistance to accessing the community and domestic tasks, your days will be varied and no two days will be the same.
Responsibilities
* Provide person-centered support to adults to promote independence and quality of life.
* Assist with medication administration where appropriate.
* Support access to the community and daily living activities.
* Assist with domestic tasks and helping tenants maintain a safe and comfortable home.
* Build trusting relationships with service users and colleagues, demonstrating empathy and practical support.
Qualifications
* Values-driven approach focusing on kindness, empathy, and building connections.
* No prior industry experience or specific qualifications required for consideration; on-the-job training provided with potential for professional qualifications if desired/required.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills; ability to respond with patience and a positive attitude.
* Willingness to learn, adapt, and work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Successful applicants will be subject to employment checks, including DBS and references checks and provided with safeguarding training.
* Citizenship/entitlement: We can only accept applications from those legally entitled to live and work within the United Kingdom.
