This is a career-defining opportunity for a proven leader to drive operational excellence and lead a workforce of 180 staff. The Role Reporting directly to the Regional Operations Lead, you will oversee day-to-day plant operations while providing strong leadership to managers and frontline staff. The position is hands-on, combining operational delivery with people management in equal measure. Your purpose is to embed a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement while delivering measurable performance gains through lean practices. Key Responsibilities · Lead plant operations, ensuring Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) standards are consistently achieved. · Drive lean initiatives, waste reduction, and efficiency improvements across all processes. · Motivate, mentor, and develop the site team — creating a culture of accountability and engagement. · Oversee a workforce of 180 with a strong presence on the shop floor. · Monitor budgets, costs, and resources with full operational KPI ownership. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, logistics, HR, finance) to streamline operations. · Manage relationships with unions/works councils and ensure effective communication. · Represent the site in regional initiatives, sharing best practice and contributing to wider improvement programs.
