Eligibility
* Current 1st level Registration on the Nursing or Midwifery Register
* Hold an Undergraduate Honours Degree (First or second class honours) or evidence of recent Level 7 study
* Valid UK driving license and access to a car. Adjustments will be made as per the Disability Discrimination Act if necessary.
Successful applicants will be employed on an LPT fixed-term contract for the duration of the course from September 2025 to September 2026. They will be remunerated according to Agenda for Change Band 6 training annex 21 pay scales during the program. Please review Annex 21 pay terms.
Interviews will be held at the University of Northampton Campus on Tuesday, 6th May 2025. The process includes tasks requiring candidates to meet a set threshold, followed by an interview on the same day. Candidates should be prepared to attend from 08:30 to 17:00.

Job Description Summary (Main Duties and Responsibilities)
As a Student Health Visitor or School Nurse, you will work with Healthy Together to deliver a 0-11 service in Leicestershire County and Rutland and a 0-19 service in Leicester city. Clinical placements will be across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland, supported by Practice Supervisors & Assessors. Academic study will be undertaken at the University of Northampton, combining theory and practice learning. To be considered, apply to LPT for sponsorship and separately secure a place at the University.
LPT aims to recruit SCPHN students to permanent posts in Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland upon successful course completion, subject to vacancy availability. Qualified Health Visitors and School Nurses are appointed to Band 6.
