Scope & Responsibilities

We are seeking a CCAB/IIA/CIMA qualified Assistant Audit Manager with over 3 years of experience in risk-based audits to support the management of the audit function and lead internal audits within our Business Services directorate.

This role is part of the ‘Best Practice’ team, which coordinates audit and compliance activities across the firm. You will report to the Audit Manager, assist with managing compliance audit delivery, and lead on delivering an internal audit programme for our Business Services directorate.

In this newly created role, you will adapt to new ways of working and shape the role to support the team, which includes an Audit Manager, Compliance Officer, Compliance Advisor, and two Residential Service Line Auditors. You will also develop relationships with key audit stakeholders across the wider business.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Support the management of compliance audit programmes across UK and international support functions, review audit outputs, monitor budgets and performance, address issues raised by auditors, produce reports for governing bodies, and engage with stakeholders (50%).
2. Assist in developing an internal audit plan for the Business Services directorate, and lead end-to-end audit processes including scoping, planning, fieldwork, analysis, reporting, and follow-up (50%).

Qualifications and Skills

* CCAB/IIA/CIMA qualified (essential)
* Over 3 years of risk-based audit experience, preferably in a professional services environment (essential/desirable)
* Experience auditing support functions such as HR, Finance, Marketing, Procurement (essential)
* Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
* Flexible, adaptable, and able to remain calm under pressure
* High standard of written and verbal reporting, with excellent English grammar and spelling
* Team-oriented with a results-driven approach
* Strong attention to detail and time management skills


Systems & IT Skills

* High level of IT literacy (essential)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (essential)
* Experience with audit systems (desirable)
* Knowledge of Power BI (desirable)
