Finance Operations Lead | £43,000 - £44,000 | Hybrid working (2 days a week in office) | Central London | Permanent We are looking for a Finance Operations Lead to join a well-known and highly regarded children's charity. This is a busy role with multiple priorities and tight deadlines, so it suits someone who is highly organised, confident in managing competing demands, and able to provide guidance to others. The charity supports young girls to feel confident, learn new skills and gives them space to be passionate about their developing interests. Key responsibilities include: Managing day-to-day finance operations: reconciliations, accruals and prepayments Preparing quarterly VAT returns (partial exemption knowledge desirable) Supporting payroll reconciliations and preparing payroll journals Approving all supplier payments and staff expenses Oversee and support to the Finance Officer and Finance Assistant Liaising with HR, investment managers, and banks on payroll, mandates and account updates Administering credit cards and responding to finance inbox queries Supporting year-end accounts preparation and external audit Person Specification : Part-qualified status (AAT or ACCA, or equivalent) Strong VAT and payroll knowledge Experience with accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations Excellent communication skills and a proactive nature Good knowledge of payroll regulations, pensions and HMRC reporting Advanced Excel skills and experience with finance systems (Access Dimensions desirable) Strong organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail Confidence working under pressure and managing multiple deadlines Experience in the charity sector (desirable, but not essential) This opportunity offers a vibrant and diverse team to work as part of and offers hybrid working of 2 days in their Central London offices.
