Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Your management and leadership skills will be essential in guiding both children and fellow staff members.
Duties
* Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Develop and implement engaging learning activities that promote children's development across all areas.
* Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organised nursery environment that meets health and safety standards.
* Observe and assess children's progress, keeping accurate records to support their individual learning journeys.
* Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, including participating in staff meetings and training sessions.
* Support children's emotional well-being by providing comfort, encouragement, and guidance as needed.
Experience
* Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
* A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable.
* Strong management and leadership skills to effectively guide team members.
* Excellent communication skills in English to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
* Driving experience is advantageous for potential off-site activities or outings.
