Functional Skills Tutor
* Annual Salary: £29,047 - £38,124 + £5,000 London Allowance
* Location: Sutton in Surrey
* Job Type: Part time, 6 Month Fixed-Term Contract
We are seeking a dedicated Functional Skills Tutor specialising in English and Maths for the Offender Learning Sector. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference and contributing to the educational rehabilitation of learners within a secure environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Deliver engaging and effective lessons in English and Maths to learners within the offender learning sector.
* Assess and record learners' progress and provide feedback to help them achieve their educational goals.
* Develop and adapt teaching materials to meet the needs of individuals with varying educational backgrounds and learning abilities.
* Collaborate with other educational staff to plan and coordinate educational activities and programs.
* Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment that respects learner diversity.
* Comply with all institutional policies and regulations related to teaching in a secure environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. A full teaching qualification at Level 5 or above.
2. Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.
