Job Title: Amazon Ads & Retail Media Director

Purpose of the Role:
As the Amazon Ads & Retail Media Director, you will have the product expertise to manage the delivery of our eCommerce and Retail Media proposition for a diverse set of clients across dentsu’s brands. Reporting to the Total Commerce Partner, you will need an expert understanding of the ecommerce landscape, focusing primarily on paid activity but also understanding organic activity and its benefits for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop strategies to maximize success from Amazon and Retail Media activity.
2. Manage a team of 3 Managers and oversee an overall team of 12+.
3. Serve as the senior escalation point for key Retail Media clients.
4. Create best practice processes to improve team efficiency and reduce errors.
5. Collaborate with partners and internal specialists to define and implement best practices.
6. Regularly audit internal accounts, identifying areas for improvement at the individual, client, and departmental levels.
7. Establish a clear team structure with defined reporting lines and responsibilities.
8. Build a team to support the growth of the product within the company.
9. Take ownership of training on Amazon and Retail Media, developing a best-in-class upskilling approach.
10. Provide feedback on errors to identify weaknesses and suggest improvements, aiming for zero revenue loss due to errors.
Qualifications + Skills:
1. Experience working with platforms like Amazon Ads, Criteo, Citrus, etc.
2. Over 5 years of experience in biddable channels.
3. Previous experience managing a team of skilled individuals.
4. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
5. Ability to assess current capabilities and create a cohesive go-to-market strategy underpinned by best practices.
6. Excellent stakeholder management at all levels.
