About the Role
Our Balfour Beatty Highways business has a terrific opportunity for a BIM Manager to join our £1.2 billion Lower Thames Crossing project, consisting of 43 bridges, including viaducts, 17 km of complex highway construction, complex utility diversions, and a scheme‑wide, industry‑leading approach to carbon reduction.
The BIM Manager will ensure that the Project CAD Standards are adhered to, develop and manage the CAD team, undertake audit reports, and support the project team in meeting key milestones.
What You'll Be Doing
* Educate people, develop/implement the Information Execution Plan and use technology during stages 5‑6 to develop model(s)
* Ensure that the Project CAD Standards are adhered to and manage the CAD team, undertaking audit reports on a regular basis
* Undertake CAD work to support the team and meet project milestones
* Collaborate with the project team and supply chain members for the use and development of the Project Information Model (graphical and non‑graphical 3D model)
* Implement processes, culture and technology so that the Programme can be linked to the Detailed Design Model (4D for construction) and support it
* Link costs to the model (5D for construction) and create an As Built model for handover and commissioning
* Link Asset Information and data to the model (6D for handover and commissioning)
Who We're Looking For
* 5‑7 years industry experience in a similar BIM role
* Ability to develop models to identify Health & Safety risks in line with relevant standards
* Understanding of Security Management as per relevant standards and ability to communicate with IT teams
* Ability to assess supplier partnership capabilities on BIM‑enabled projects and advise the procurement team
* Professional membership is desirable
* BSc, MSc, BEng, MSc, MEng, HND/HDC or equivalent experience with a proven delivery of infrastructure or building projects
