Job Description
This is a part time post supporting two Care Homes within West Dunbartonshire Council, Crosslet House and Queens Quay House. The successful candidate will become part of an existing admin team.
Admin assistants should have a clear focus on delivering high quality support to our services. The successful candidate will deliver a wide range of administrative functions and will follow West Dunbartonshire Policies and Procedures.
You should have the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative, work to deadlines and quality standards, with positive and effective customer service skills, as well as being self motivated and flexible to the needs of the service.
Essential requirements for the post include:
1. Knowledge and understanding of clerical processes and procedures.
2. Understanding of a customer focused service.
3. Excellent IT skills, ability to use MS Word, Excel and Data base systems.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Ability to demonstrate numeracy and accuracy skills.
6. Excellent organisational skills.
7. Flexibility and adaptability.
8. Being a team player.
Requirements
This post is considered a Regulated Role with Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.
Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
Responsibilities
