Job description
Tuition will take place face-to-face only at a community centre in OX28, during weekday school hours (no evenings or weekends). The sessions total 6 hours per week, spread across 3 days.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level.
2. Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit the learner’s individual needs, communication style, and attention profile.
3. Liaise with parents/carers and professionals where appropriate to support progress against EHCP outcomes.
4. Maintain accurate records of attendance and learning progress.
About You:
5. Experience working with neurodiverse learners, especially students with ADHD and/or non-verbal communication needs.
6. A calm, patient, and flexible approach to teaching.
7. Strong understanding of adaptive and creative teaching methods.
8. Enhanced DBS check (required).
9. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), HLTA, or significant tutoring/SEND experience preferred.
