We’re working with a welcoming primary school in Bexleyheath that is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team. You’ll work closely with experienced teachers and support staff to provide tailored support that helps improve pupil attainment and assists those who may struggle to engage or make progress in the classroom. Help children develop emotional regulation, communication skills, and confidence through structured and creative activities. Support classroom learning and promote calm, positive environments that encourage engagement and progress. Build trusting relationships that help children feel safe, understood, and valued. Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, and the wider inclusion team to track and celebrate progress.What We’re Looking For GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grades 4–9). Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, behaviour, or additional needs. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to managing behaviour. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
