Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic motivated person to lead our team of volunteers in the day to day running of the Trinity coffee bar as the Coffee bar manager.
A satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required.
This role is an essential part of the work and mission of the Church, so sympathy with Christian values is essential.
Main Responsibilities
· Working in partnership with the minister and church community, being part of a visible presence in the heart of the town.
· To work alongside the Circuit Hospitality Worker and support their priorities for outreach and community activities. To plan the aims and objectives of the Wisbech Trinity Coffee Bar and to be sympathetic to the aims of the Methodist Church.
· To be responsible for organising a rota of volunteers to ensure that there is adequate cover when the coffee bar is open.
· To lead and work with volunteers offering support and guidance, and relevant training where necessary. To organise further training by specific organisations if required. To oversee and ensure all tasks are covered on each day.
· Check stock and ensure supplies are available as required, organising replenishment by notifying relevant person or by making appropriate purchases as agreed.
· To report incidents or concerns to the Minister, Safeguarding officer as appropriate.
· Oversee and organise cleaning of the kitchen and serving area as necessary to ensure good hygiene standards and clean and pleasant environment for volunteers and customers. To be proactive in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
· To work in conjunction with the Coffee Bar treasurer for the banking and account keeping.
· Alongside others, to organise the opening of the Coffee Bar for events i.e. Rose Fair and other specific events as booked.
· To oversee all statutory requirements regarding the maintenance of the kitchen equipment, Food Hygiene and allergy awareness training and safeguarding training with respect of volunteers.
· To be appointed representative of the Methodist Church on the presence between 09.30 and 13.30 each day, Monday – Friday, by virtue of the status of the employment by The Fens Circuit.
· To have an enthusiasm to develop the vision for the future of the Coffee Bar and provide outreach for the community i.e. monthly meals.
· Make arrangements of washing the linen wear.

Pay: From £13.21 per hour
