This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board.
About the role
SZC is owned by two shareholders, EDF and HMG, through NNB Holdings Company (SZC) Limited. The shareholders' investments will evolve over time.
The shareholders will fund SZC until Financial Close via equity, according to the approved schedule and budget. SZC's purpose is to design, finance, construct, commission, operate, maintain, and eventually decommission the nuclear power plant and related infrastructure at Sizewell C in Suffolk, including activities related to hydrogen, direct air capture, and desalination. The current development phase aims to finalize the Capital Raise Plan, including equity and debt funding, secure core supply chain contracts, and obtain necessary regulatory permits and licenses.
Previously part of EDF's Nuclear Development business unit, SZC staff are transitioning from EDF employees and contractors to direct employment. The organization aims to deliver a new nuclear power plant, from investment to decommissioning.
The SZC construction program is based on replicating Hinkley Point C's technical and commercial model, with EDF being a key nuclear capability provider in the UK.
Key stakeholders include: UK Government, relevant departments and agencies (Treasury, BEIS), EDF, financial investors, regulators, alliance partners, and local communities.
