PSV Coach Driver - Grimsby based
Rate of pay: £12.65 per hour, plus holiday pay pro rata.
Start date: Following successful completion of training and a DBS check (usually 4 weeks). Please note; Training and DBS is paid for by Amvale.
About Us
Amvale are a North Lincolnshire based company established for over twenty-five years. Our primary purpose is safely transporting children to and from School, on behalf of local education authorities and educational establishments.
Job Purpose and Overview
The role of a driver is to transport and assist children safely to and from school
A driver in this position will normally be working split shifts eg. morning and afternoon, timetabled around school start and finish times.
We guarantee of minimum of 25 hours per week of work, on a regular school contract and local private hires during the day are available to increase the number of hours worked. No weekends.
We require you to hold a full Coach license (cat D) for hire and reward for this position, accepting up to 3 penalty points. Also a driver cpc card is required. Although driver training and cpc courses maybe available.
Duties and Responsibilities
· To safely transport passengers as required
· To assist children in boarding vehicles, disembarking only where appropriate and where required.
· To ensure all passengers are safely seated.
· To ensure the proper handover of children upon arrival at their destination, where appropriate and required.
· To report any problems, incidents or usual occurrences at the first opportunity.
· To accurately observe the timetables implemented by Amvale to ensure the punctual transportation of your passengers.
· To promptly communicate any accidents, vehicle damage or offenses under the Road Traffic Acts to the Transport Manager.
· To carry out assessments of your vehicle, reporting any faults to the Transport Manager.
· To ensure the coach is clean and tidy
· If provided, to work in conjunction with a passenger assistant (where required) to create a safe and effective service.
