We are one of the UK's leading suppliers of architectural aluminium profiles within the construction industry as well as being one of the UK's leading suppliers of waterproofing solutions, predominantly for flat roofs. Due to our continued expansion and significant investment, an exciting opportunity has arisen within our existing team for a sheet metal Fabrications Designer. This is an office-based role in Poole, Dorset.
This is a permanent position offering an annual salary of £35,000.00.
Working hours: 39.5 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 4.30pm / Fri 8.30am - 4.00pm
Key Responsibilities:
* To produce quality and detailed fabrication CAD / SolidWorks drawings
* Work with and support existing team when required
* Ensure that the quality of work produced is always maintained
* Ensure that our drawing systems and our company processes are always maintained
* To always communicate clearly and effectively with our clients, employees and architects
* To deal with any internal or external enquiries, queries or issues that may arise in a professional and timely manner
* To remain up to date with all technical aspects of the company's products and services as well as all relevant aspects of the business sector and wider industry
* Prepare and submit quotations to our customers and/or sales team within a specified time frame, when required
* Ensuring that our CRM system and project records are always kept up to date
* To undertake any training, as required, to develop and maintain personal skills to help fulfil the above duties and standards
Requirements
Essential:
* AutoCAD
* SolidWorks
* Sheet metal / mechanical experience
* Able to understand technical and/or architectural drawings
* Experience with Office 365 to include Outlook and Excel
* CRM experience
* Excellent organisational skills
* Excellent communications skills
Desired:
* Adobe
* Sketchup
