We're looking for a dynamic and forward‑thinking Fleet Operations Manager who's ready to take ownership of a high‑profile service and drive real improvement across the Council.
In this influential role, you'll lead the strategic and day‑to‑day management of our corporate fleet, ensuring every vehicle, driver, and process meets the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and O‑Licence compliance. You'll be the Council's expert voice on fleet operations, taking decisive action to protect our operator's licence, overseeing investigations, and ensuring our systems and records meet all regulatory expectations.
You'll shape the future of our fleet by championing greener, smarter, and more cost‑effective ways of working. From developing digital processes and analysing performance data to identifying commercial opportunities and enhancing business systems, you'll play a key role in transforming how we operate. You'll work closely with service managers, partners, and external agencies, building strong relationships and representing the Council with professionalism and confidence.
