Overview
The Temporary Staffing Team is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic and skilled individual to lead our collaborative temporary staffing team, covering all temporary staffing requirements across Kent & Medway. This role requires a well-organised, proactive approach with a \'can do\' attitude to manage a busy, evolving environment and support patient care across the region.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop a career in the temporary staffing sector within the NHS. You would lead a dedicated team that makes a difference to patient care on a daily basis while assisting with the reduction in temporary staffing costs across Kent & Medway. The role involves working across multiple sites in Kent and Medway with hybrid working arrangements and occasional home working opportunities.
Our service hours are currently 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, subject to change to meet service needs.
Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of timely and cost-effective temporary staffing bookings for all staff groups across the region.
* Streamline practices and negotiate rates to provide a professional, efficient and cost-effective Collaborative Temporary Staffing Service.
* Ensure bookings comply with current booking procedures, NHS Employers requirements, NHSI requirements and best practice.
* Monitor, collate and report temporary staffing data; develop, amend and disseminate reports to meet requirements.
* Develop and maintain effective professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Plan and prioritise own work and oversee the work of the team to deliver a proactive, cost-effective service compliant with departmental SLAs, SOPs, policies and NHSI requirements.
* Plan and oversee local induction, support, shadowing and on-the-job training for new team members.
