About the ECT Role
As an ECT, you will:
1. Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across your chosen secondary subject
2. Develop classroom practice with guidance from experienced mentors
3. Build strong relationships with students, promoting positive behaviour and engagement
4. Adapt teaching methods to support a diverse range of learners
5. Take part in CPD, reflection, and regular progress reviews as part of your ECT induction
6. Contribute to the wider school community and departmental planning

What We’re Looking For in an ECT
To be successful in this Secondary ECT role, you will need:
7. QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or pending award
8. Strong subject knowledge in your specialist secondary area
9. A desire to grow, learn, and develop through your ECT induction
10. A proactive attitude toward behaviour management and pastoral care
11. Excellent communication and organisation skills
12. A genuine commitment to helping students succeed
