Job Description
Trust Education are currently recruiting for a committed and enthusiastic Year 3 Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Barnsley (S71) from March 2026 through to 17th July 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils during a key stage in their development, helping them build confidence, independence and strong foundations within Key Stage 2.
The Role
You will work closely with the class teacher to support learning across the curriculum. Duties may include working with small groups, providing targeted interventions, supporting individual pupils, and assisting with classroom organisation. You will play an important role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels supported.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have experience working within a primary school setting, ideally in KS2
* Be patient, proactive and adaptable
* Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
* Be confident supporting pupils with varying learning needs
* Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
* Hold relevant qualifications or equivalent classroom experience
