Audit and Risk Recruitment are partnering with a long term client in the recruitment of an Internal Auditor to join a leading Housing/Not-for-Profit Group with a mission to build homes, independence, and aspirations. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver a value-added assurance service and contribute to strategic improvement projects across the Group and its subsidiaries.
What you'll be doing:
* Leading audit fieldwork, including critical assessment of system control environments and identifying key system risks.
* Conducting specialist investigations, such as fraud and value for money studies.
* Presenting audit findings and overall assurance opinions to senior managers, advising on management actions.
* Providing consultancy advice on the development of new systems and services.
What you'll need:
* Qualified Accountant, Internal Auditor, or equivalent with excellent business acumen and relevant audit experience.
* Strong report writing and brilliant communication skills to engage with executive, senior management, and frontline colleagues.
* Experience in conducting special investigations (e.g., fraud and value for money studies).
* The ability to challenge current practice and successfully influence the implementation of new processes and procedures.
