Job Description
This role is ideal for a tutor who understands the importance of relationship-building, emotional safety, and flexible learning, and who is confident supporting a learner who is not currently accessing a mainstream school setting.
The Role
* Provide 1:1 tuition in a low-pressure, student-led environment
* Prioritise building trust and confidence before introducing academic learning
* Support gradual re-engagement with education
* Adapt learning to suit the individual's pace, interests, and emotional needs
* Introduce academic content sensitively once the learner is ready
* Encourage motivation and positive attitudes towards future learning and qualifications
Essential Requirements
* Minimum of 6 months' experience working within a UK based educational setting
* Ability to build positive relationships with young people
* Patient, flexible, and emotionally aware approach
* Confidence working 1:1 and adapting sessions as needed
Desirable Experience
* Experience supporting pupils with EBSA
* Experience working with SEN, including anxiety-related needs
* Background in alternative provision, home tutoring, or pastoral support
