Are you an enthusiastic and passionate Design & Technology teacher looking for a new full‑time opportunity in Portsmouth? We are seeking a dynamic classroom practitioner to join a supportive and forward‑thinking secondary school from January 2026, on a full‑time fixed‑term contract.
About the Role
As a Design & Technology Teacher, you will:
* Deliver high‑quality, engaging lessons across the Design & Technology curriculum in line with National Curriculum and departmental expectations.
* Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that inspire creativity, innovation and practical problem‑solving.
* Ensure pupil safety at all times, particularly in workshop and practical environments.
* Participate in departmental and whole‑school activities, including meetings, open evenings and parents’ events.
* Support pupils’ progress through effective assessment and constructive feedback.
* Contribute to extra‑curricular opportunities such as clubs or booster sessions where appropriate.

Your Profile
We’re looking for candidates who:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Have experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary level.
* Are confident delivering engaging, practical lessons that promote creativity, resilience and technological understanding.
* Are adaptable, proactive and committed to pupil progress and wellbeing.

Salary & Contract
