Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
Duties as Senior Embryologist include:
* Performing laboratory duties such as semen analysis, sperm preparation, oocyte retrieval, ICSI micromanipulation, embryo assessment, culture, transfer, and cryopreservation.
* Maintaining and auditing cryopreserved material, handling out-of-hours on-call duties.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate multidisciplinary activities, manage workload independently, and occasionally educate trainees and students.
* Communicate complex information to patients, obtain legal consent, and contribute to training staff.
* Implement policies, record data, and contribute to audits and equipment evaluations.
* Participate in out-of-hours on-call responses.
Person Specification
Qualifications:
* HCPC registration (working towards/eligible or attained)
* STP graduate
* Experience as Embryologist
Desirable:
* ICSI trained
Experience:
* UK experience preferred
* Embryology laboratory experience advantageous
