You will be answering, responding promptly and efficiently to all Telecare emergency and monitoring calls. Working within a very busy often pressurised environment, you must be able to adapt quickly to changing situations, prioritise your workload to incoming emergency calls with the ability to multitask.
Duties will include:
Calls handling duties responding to emergency calls for assistance, out of hours repairs and various helplines including Homelessness and Environmental issues in accordance with procedures.
Work shifts including days, nights, weekends, bank holidays on a shift rota pattern.
Flexible approach to support needs of the rota. This may include changing shifts at short notice.
To share workload with team members to maintain up-to-date and accurate data information entries.
To keep appraised and implement changes or new procedures as requested.
To deal with installation enquires and faults when Customer Services are busy.
To build and be responsible for your working knowledge of Telecare equipment in a fast-evolving industry responding to a wide range of telecare device types.
Guiding clients through a self-install and equipment test for their new alarm.
About you
Experience in a Call Centre environment, or telesales, with good customer service skills is essential.
Ability to remain calm and confident in an emergency situation.
Good IT skills with good literacy, accuracy and attention to detail
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, and Office
Good communication skills, ability to listen, display empathy with a friendly and polite approach in a professional manner.
Ability to adapt quickly to new technology in a fast-changing environment.
Resilient and comfortable dealing with emotional or challenging calls.

The role will be a combination of shifts, primarily working in the office above, along with infrequent home working, when required.
