Product Developer - Supplements
UK - Remote
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Product Development Specialist to oversee the growth, enhancement, and technical management of our product portfolio. This position offers the opportunity to drive innovation across the range while ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance
Working closely with external manufacturing partners and internal stakeholders, you will lead projects from initial concept through to commercial launch, support continuous product improvement, and help maintain seamless supply and production processes
Key Areas of Responsibilit
yProduct Innovation & Developmen
* tLead the end-to-end development of new products, from idea generation and formulation through to market launch
* .Collaborate with manufacturing partners to manage product trials, samples, and scale-up activities
* .Analyse scientific literature and emerging research to inform the development of effective, evidence-based formulations
* .Identify opportunities to improve existing products through reformulation and optimisation initiatives
* .Attend manufacturing facilities during critical production runs and first-time launches to ensure successful execution
Regulatory & Compliance Managemen
* tPrepare and review product packaging content to ensure compliance with UK legislation and industry standards
* .Assess marketing materials, product claims, and promotional communications to verify regulatory accuracy
* .Partner with internal marketing teams to ensure all consumer-facing messaging aligns with relevant compliance requirements
* .Maintain accurate and compliant product information across digital sales channels and online marketplaces
Quality & Technical Operation
* sProvide technical expertise and support for customer-facing product enquiries when required
* .Coordinate independent laboratory testing, including microbiological screening, heavy metal analysis, and nutritional verification
* .Maintain supplier quality records and documentation, ensuring certifications and testing data remain current
* .Review production documentation, including Certificates of Analysis, to confirm products meet agreed quality specifications
* .Manage retained sample processes, conducting quality checks and escalating any issues identified
Production & Supply Coordinatio
* nWork closely with commercial stakeholders to forecast inventory requirements and determine replenishment volumes
* .Generate cost estimates for production runs and manage purchase order processes
* .Monitor manufacturing schedules and coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure timely product collection and delivery
* .Process production-related invoices, communicate payment confirmations to suppliers, and follow up on outstanding accounts when necessary
Candidate Profil
eTo succeed in this role, you will have
* :A minimum of three years' experience in product development, formulation, or technical roles, ideally within the supplements, nutrition, or health and wellness sectors
* .Experience working directly with third-party manufacturers and suppliers
* .A solid understanding of UK product regulations and compliance requirements
* .Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
