This is an urgent requirement for a specialist who can deliver high-quality instruction across the Humanities spectrum, helping students understand the complexities of the world around them.
The Role
This role offers the chance to work within a collaborative department where Geography, History, and Religious Studies are taught with a focus on critical thinking and global citizenship. The successful candidate will primarily lead classes at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE).
Key Responsibilities:
* Interdisciplinary Teaching: Deliver engaging lessons across History, Geography, and RS, tailoring content to meet diverse learning needs.
* GCSE Preparation: Support students in your primary specialism (e.g., History or Geography) as they prepare for summer examinations.
* Critical Inquiry: Encourage students to evaluate sources, analyze maps, and engage in respectful debate regarding ethics and culture.
* Resource Development: Contribute to the creation of innovative schemes of work that link the Humanities curriculum to current global events.

Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* A degree in History, Geography, Religious Studies, or a related Humanities subject.
* Proven experience teaching at least two Humanities subjects at KS3 and one at GCSE.
* Strong classroom management and a flair for making "the past and the present" relevant to modern students.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
