Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)

Salary: £93 – £113 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently seeking proactive and reliable Cover Supervisors to work on a day-to-day supply basis in schools in Royston. As a Cover Supervisor (CS), this role is ideal for individuals looking to gain valuable classroom experience or those with teaching aspirations who enjoy a flexible work schedule.
Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:
* Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher.
* Maintain classroom behaviour and ensure pupils remain on task.
* Support students in their learning and provide guidance where needed.
* Manage resources and promote a safe, respectful learning environment.
* Report on student behaviour and progress to teaching staff.
Requirements for Cover Supervisor:
* Experience working with young people in a school or similar setting.
* A confident and professional classroom presence.
* Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
* A genuine interest in education and supporting learners.
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).
* A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any employment gaps over the past 10 years.
