The Estée Lauder Companies is currently recruiting for a Microbiology Technician (Intern) within the Quality department on a 13 month placement opportunity to join an experienced and committed team at Whitman Laboratories whereas a site we manufacture around a fifth of Estée Lauder’s global sales output.
The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. is one of the world's leading manufacturers and marketers of quality skin care, makeup, fragrance, and hair care products. This role will be based at Whitman Laboratories in Petersfield, Hampshire.
This role includes supporting the Quality Control laboratory and aiming to ensure that our materials and products are up to our luxury standard. The successful candidate will have responsibility for assuring the microbial quality of all susceptible raw materials, bulk and filled products produced at Whitman, by testing representative samples using validated test methods and checking the acceptability of line start-up samples.
As well as, the successful candidate will be involved with monitoring housekeeping standards in our manufacturing and production areas to ensure corrective actions are initiated if required.
The Microbiology Technician will be primarily involved in the environmental procedures for the plant, including the monitoring and reporting of water systems and air quality. Other tasks include the testing and release of raw materials and bulk products.
Qualifications
Must be on a Microbiology (or related) sandwich degree course and expecting to achieve 2:1+
