Responsibilities
* Help lead a team of HSSU Process Technicians under a PTL (Supervisor).
* Assist in organising the workload to ensure customer requirements are met.
* Ensure that process equipment and accessories are fully working and report faults and anomalies.
* Solve issues or problems and elevate when necessary.
* Deal with customer queries.
* Lead technicians will perform leader duties as requested by the PTL to support leading the team.
* Lead the team during periods of annual leave and sickness alongside a second Lead Technician.
The HSSU Stoke Team is currently looking for a HSSU Lead Technician (supervisor). This role involves cleaning, disinfection, inspection, packaging and sterilisation of surgical instruments, contributing to patient safety in both private and NHS hospitals.
Qualifications
* Enthusiastic and motivated.
* Good organisational skills; maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with statutory and organisational policies and procedures.
* Maintain a clean, tidy working environment; check medical devices for cleanliness, functionality and damage; rectify problems and report escalations.
* Monitor stock issues and advise the line manager when goods need to be re‑ordered.
* Basic standard general education with proven literacy and numeracy.
* Evidence of previous sterile services training.
* Knowledge of endoscopes and their reprocessing.
* Good verbal and written communication skills and basic computer literacy.
* Attention to detail and a desire to deliver a high‑quality service.
