This setting is one of the largest in the county and is a specialist provision supporting learners with complex SEN needs, including Autism. The school is known for being a bright, inviting, and calm environment where learners can thrive. It offers an education that supports both academic and life skills development. The school has a longstanding and highly supportive team, including over 10 TAs in the secondary department. Supporting children from ages 5-19, the school is oversubscribed year after year. It is a therapeutic environment where the children's needs are prioritized.
This role is Monday to Friday, 9 am to 4 pm, and is a temporary to permanent position.

Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing teaching assistance according to the teacher's planning
* Working 1:1 with students
* Supporting group and individual activities planned by the teacher
* Developing work with learners/students individually
* Supporting the general well-being of learners within the school's framework
* Monitoring and evaluating students' learning under teacher guidance
* Assisting teachers with management strategies to create a purposeful learning environment
* Supporting learners across all curriculum areas in structured work
Key skills and experience needed:
* Ability to work with learners with various learning difficulties
* Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Flexibility in educational approach
* Experience in SEND settings is desirable but not essential
