Responsible for promoting positive health and safety culture in a workplace. Ensure Arthur David Food with Service Ltd. is compliant with current legislation, by creating systems, procedures and robust key performance indicators.
Daily Tasks:
* To comply with Company Core Values of Customer Service, Teamwork, Respect, Quality and Excellence.
* Manage COSHH on site, including for the prep room, offices, staff facilities and workshops.
* Drive a health and safety culture whilst working alongside Food Safety Culture and People First business strategies.
* Review and report on precheck equipment and machinery for compliance and possible unsafe conditions.
* Risk assesses service suppliers and ensure supplier approval and monitoring is legal and compliant, liaising with the technical team
* Prepare policies to establish a culture of health and safety
* Record, Report and monitor business H&S KPI’s.
* Facilitate with departmental managers annual review of all risk assessments.
* Facilitate investigations and route cause analysis of accident reporting, ensuring the implementation of corrective actions.
* Chair monthly health & safety meetings.
* Work with outsourced health & safety consultants to ensure compliance and site safety.
* Liaise with maintenance for onsite maintenance, safety & cleanliness of site & equipment.
* Ensure H&S actions from monthly site hygiene audit are completed & signed off.
* Ensure senior management team is up to date with all current health & safety legislation changes and advice.
* Deliver monthly health & safety report at BPM and other Management Meetings
* Produce and distribute monthly health & safety news update with advice and information to the business.
* Monitor in-house and external training of FLT, Pallet trucks & machinery.
* Oversee H&S training compliance and train staff where required
* Facilitate and support fire action plans and ensure the site action plan is compliant with the service supplier
* Member of the HACCP and Food Defence Team
* There may be a business need for you to carry out other duties within the business that are within your skill set.
* Ensure that the quality, safety and legalities of all products are adhered to in all aspects of Food Safety including in relation to temperature control and maintenance of the chill chain.
* Attend occupational safety and health seminars to update job knowledge and enhance skills.

Requirements:
• NEBOSH Certificate in Health & safety or similar equivalent diploma or working towards achieving
• 2 Years previous experience working in an FMCG environment (Advantageous)
• HACCP Knowledge and experience of implementing CCP`s (Advantageous
• Experience of dealing with B.R.C. Accreditation or similar (Advantageous)
Education Requirements:
* Full GB Driving Licence with a maximum of 3 penalty points
* Good standard of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
* Higher level of secondary education
