We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Slough. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young children at the very start of their educational journey and who is committed to providing a nurturing and engaging learning environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and Early Years team to support children in Nursery and Reception. You will play a vital role in helping children develop their confidence, independence, and love of learning through play-based activities and structured learning opportunities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
You will support children both individually and in small groups, helping to develop early communication, language, social skills, and emotional wellbeing. Creating a safe, calm, and stimulating environment will be central to your role, ensuring children feel secure and supported throughout the school day.
Observation and assessment will form part of your responsibilities, as you support the teacher in monitoring children’s progress and identifying next steps. You will assist with preparing learning resources, maintaining an organised classroom, and supporting daily routines such as transitions, snack time, and outdoor learning.
Strong relationships with children, staff, and parents are essential. You will contribute positively to the Early Years team, working collaboratively to maintain high standards of care, learning, and safeguarding.
