Role
The IT Support Engineer is responsible for supporting our internal employees by managing end-user hardware, administering Microsoft 365 services, and resolving day-to-day IT issues across the organization. This role is essential in ensuring a seamless employee experience through responsive support, secure endpoint management, and efficient onboarding/offboarding processes.
This position is ideal for candidates with 1–3 years of experience in IT support or systems administration, who are passionate about helping others and eager to grow in a collaborative, high-performance environment.
Responsibilities
* End-User Support: Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support to employees for laptop, system access, M365 applications, collaboration tools, and general technical issues.
* Device Provisioning: Set up and configure laptops for new employees using standard company images, policies, and tools (Intune, BitLocker, etc.).
* Offboarding & Decommissioning: Securely wipe and decommission devices during employee offboarding, ensuring access is revoked in alignment with IT policies.
* Identity Management: Assist with identity lifecycle operations using Azure Entra ID including group memberships, account provisioning, MFA support, and access troubleshooting.
* Microsoft 365 Administration: Support user access and functionality across Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
* Endpoint Security: Enforce security configurations using BitLocker, Intune, and Sophos Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR).
* Remote Access Support: Assist users with VPN connectivity and troubleshooting remote access issues.
* Service Desk Operations: Respond to, triage, and resolve IT service tickets in accordance with SLAs and escalate as appropriate.
* Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with other IT team members to document procedures, improve internal workflows, and deliver an exceptional support experience.
* Asset & License Management: Maintain inventory of devices and software licenses, assisting in procurement and compliance efforts.
* Tool Support: Provide user assistance for collaboration and remote support tools such as Microsoft Teams, LogMeIn, and Outlook.
Mandatory Skills, Knowledge Or Experience
* 1–3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or systems administration in a corporate or SaaS environment.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 apps and administration (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
* Experience with Windows 11 configuration and troubleshooting, including device imaging and BitLocker encryption.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Intune for device enrollment, compliance, and configuration profiles.
* Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with end users.
* Understanding of basic networking and remote access tools.
* Ability to manage multiple tickets and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent documentation habits and attention to detail.
Desirable Skills, Experience And Education
* Experience with Azure Entra ID (Azure AD) for identity and access management.
* Familiarity with Defender for Office 365, Sophos EDR, or other enterprise security tools.
* Exposure to automation tools or scripting (PowerShell, Bash) for IT operations is a plus.
* Understanding of IT asset management and license tracking best practices.
* Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.
* Microsoft certifications (e.g., MD-102, MS-900, or AZ-900) are a plus but not required.
