The Role
As Head of Facilities, you’ll oversee all building systems, maintenance, and event operations to keep this major public venue running safely, smoothly, and sustainably. Leading a skilled team of Facilities Managers, you’ll ensure every system – from HVAC and electrical to housekeeping and event setup – performs at its best.
You’ll combine strategic direction with hands‑on leadership, balancing compliance, technical excellence, and people management in a fast‑moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop Facilities Managers across maintenance, housekeeping, and event setup
* Drive compliance, safety, and operational excellence across all systems
* Oversee PPM schedules, budgets, and contractor performance
* Support capital projects and sustainability initiatives
* Collaborate with event teams to deliver seamless event operations
About You
You’re an experienced facilities or operations leader with proven success managing complex venues, estates, or large public spaces.
Essential :
* Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems
* IOSH Managing Safely (essential)
* Skilled in budgeting, compliance and leading multi‑disciplinary teams
* Calm under pressure with strong communication and problem‑solving skills
Desirable :
* NEBOSH qualification
* Experience in arenas, stadiums, or large venues
* Knowledge of ISO 14001 / ISO 50001
