The role
Salary: £39,000 - 68,000 per year Requirements: We need someone who is SC cleared or able to obtain SC clearance. We need demonstrable experience delivering accurate, effective licence reconciliations. We need strong working knowledge of complex licensing for at least one major Tier-1 vendor such as Microsoft, Oracle, IBM or SAP, ideally across multiple vendors. We need proven experience with end-to-end major vendor audit processes. We need someone who can hit the ground running and already has hands-on licensing compliance experience. We need an understanding of modern and emerging technologies and their licensing implications. We need someone comfortable working alongside technical teams such as Architects, Analysts and Consultants. We need excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex licensing topics. We need an IT background with experience in IT Asset Management or Software Asset Management environments. We would value hands-on experience with SAM tooling, ideally Snow or Flexera. We would value understanding of EUC, infrastructure and cloud technology domains. We would value the ability to articulate complex licence positions clearly and concisely. We would value IAITAM or equivalent SAM certifications. Responsibilities: We ensure accurate reporting of vendor compliance. We develop optimised vendor licence positions. We work with Data Analysts to correctly identify software products discovered on the hardware estate. We identify opportunities to reduce licensing costs across Capita and our clients to achieve savings. We process Proof of Entitlement and manually match it to applications where automatic reconciliation is not possible. We review and import new purchase information from third-party systems. We develop and improve SAM lifecycle processes. We qualify and verify all data sources required for SAM processing. We analyse market changes and assess their impact on vendor licensing.
